30.06.20 - Science
Hi Blackbirds and Pigeons,
It’s the last day of June and today it’s a Science lesson with a difference. Follow this link to watch a fabulous BBC video – it’s 40 minutes long so make sure you’re comfortable so you can enjoy it.
Created in collaboration with Blue Planet Live, it is designed to teach you about Earth's rich marine life. Guided by CBBC's Naomi Wilkinson and expert wildlife biologist Lizzie Daly, they explore what constitutes a healthy ecosystem and discuss the threats to our oceans such as plastics and overfishing.
The video, which was originally a live broadcast, also features links to Steve Backshall in the Bahamas who explains how sharks can teach us about ecosystems and how human behaviour can threaten shark life.
Afterwards complete this Save Our Sharks activity.
