Bread from around the world


In this cookery task, Year 4 undertake product research in tasting, smelling and touching a range of different breads. They then use what they have found out to design and make their own bread, which they go on to evaluate. The skills the children use when making the bread are measuring, mixing, kneading, proving, and baking. How yeast works and changes materials is linked to the Science curriculum.
