If you would like it enlarged, download from the links at the bottom of this web page.

When you have finished reading, with someone in your household, do the following:

  1. Underline/talk about any words you are unsure of. Try to work out what the words mean by reading the whole of the sentence. Does reading around the word help you with the meaning?
  2. Think about what you liked about the article. Was it dramatic, exciting or mysterious? Did you like one part in particular? Highlight/talk about your favourite part/s and explain why you liked that part.
  3. Talk about how the article makes you feel. Do you feel sorry for anyone? What do you think of the events?
  4. Try and spot some of features learnt from Wednesday's work (heading, columns, speech etc).
