Properties of circles

You have now had two days of practising questions using your knowledge of the different properties of circles. Before we do a little bit more work on this, answer the following questions:

  1. What is the circumference?
  2. What is the diameter?
  3. How do I find the radius?
  4. If I know the diameter = 16cm, what is the radius?

Now complete the questions below to show your knowledge:

Remember if you have the radius multiply it by 2 to get the diameter.

If you have the diameter, divide it by 2 to get the radius.

For the next questions you will need to use a bit of a formula to work it out.

The circumference is worked out by multiplying the radius by 3.14.

C = R x 3.14

Make sure you show your working out for this as it can be tricky and we want to see you are using the correct method.
