Year 4 Weekly PE Physical Challenges -W/B 27th April 2020
This week is all about reacting and coordinating your movements quickly and with control.
Your will need a member of your household to help you with these challenges. Take turns to see who is most successful.
You need to keep balanced and stop quickly after catching. No wobbling!
To move onto the next level you need to complete the catches repeatedly.
You can vary the distance away from each other to make it easier/ harder.
From a distance of 1, 2 and 3 metres:
I can react and catch a large ball dropped from shoulder height after 2 bounces.
I can react and catch a large ball dropped from shoulder height after 1 bounce.
I can react quickly and catch a tennis ball dropped from shoulder height after 1 bounce.
I can react quickly and catch a tennis ball dropped from shoulder height after 1 bounce, balancing on 1 leg. From a distance of 1, 2 and 3 metres:
I can react and catch a large ball dropped from shoulder height after 2 bounces.
I can react and catch a large ball dropped from shoulder height after 1 bounce.
I can react quickly and catch a tennis ball dropped from shoulder height after 1 bounce, balancing on 1 leg.
I can react to a call from a partner when they drop a ball, turn and catch it after 1 bounce.
I can do the above challenge, but react to the sound of the bounce rather than the call.
