Year 4

Hello Woodpeckers and Wagtails,

It has been a long time since we have been able to teach you in person but it has been great to talk to you on the phone. We are so impressed with how much learning you have done without us. From learning to cook, making things from lots of different materials and discovering new things. Lots of you have used the online learning and sent us an email telling us how you have got on.

This term we are still going to be providing the online learning but this will be weekly rather than daily. This means that you will have more choice in what you want to learn. We will still be answering emails but we may take a little longer to respond as we will be in school more.

Remember to keep learning and keep healthy.

Hello Wagtails and Woodpeckers

We hope you are all staying safe at home with your families. School is very quiet without you and we hope that we will see you again soon.

This year your learning journey has been incredible and you have worked so hard. We know that you realise how important learning is in all our lives.

To help you continue on this journey we have a range of learning activities that you can do at home to ensure you are ready for when your schooling begins again.

On this page you can find links to online learning sites and activities linked to the Year 4 curriculum. Please save any work you produce at home as we would love to see it when you return.

In addition remember to:

Read, read, read.

Practise your handwriting.

Learn the Year 3 and 4 spellings.

Learn the times tables from 2 to 12.

Keep your body fit with a daily work out with Joe Wicks.

Keep your mind healthy with belly breathing and mindfulness.

We will update this page on a regular basis so keep learning with us.

Miss Rees and Mrs O'Hara

Daily Home Learning

Year 4

Welcome to your daily home learning pages.

On these pages each day, you will find a new learning task that is part of the year 4 curriculum for Maths, English and Topic. There will be some support tasks, these are labelled Red or Blue, and a challenge will be given at the end of some other tasks. More support or feedback can be accessed by contacting us. Remember we are your teachers and want to ensure your learning journey continues even though we can't see you in person. We would also welcome ideas or requests for work and we will do our best to supply you with everything you need.

Don't forget to email your wonderful work to:
