Concerns and Complaints

If you have a concern about anything relating to school or your child's learning, please speak to your child's teacher, or another member of staff so that these can be resolved as quickly as possible.


Should you wish to make a formal complaint, please refer to the complaints procedure (outlined in the school's complaints policy). If you require further help in making a complaint, guidance on how to do so can be found at


Children's safety and learning are the school's top priorities. Concerns and complaints will always be dealt with as soon as possible with this aim in mind.


At Thornhill Primary, we can only deal with concerns and make the necessary improvements if we are aware of them. Please feel free to come and speak to us first and remember there the Attendance Officer is always on the gate in the morning.
