Our Safeguarding Team
All staff at Thornhill Primary School take their responsibility for the safeguarding and duty of care to
all children and young people very seriously. The Designated Safeguarding Lead and deputies are :

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead – Gemma Clair (SENDco and Inclusion Lead)
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead- Jane Garthwaite (Assistant Head Teacher)
Adhering to Keeping Children Safe in Education (2023), all concerns are taken seriously and are
reported to the relevant agencies such as Southampton’s Children’s Resource Service (CRS) or Multi-
Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We follow Southampton City Council‘s policies and procedures,
copies of which are available on this website from the school office.
